Function Inspector is an application that gives you the opportunity to plot graphs of any function and analyzing it.
You can find both Function Inspector PRO and Function Inspector LITE on the Android Market.
On this page you will find detailed information on each of the menus.

"Enter function" menu

Here, you can enter up to three functions called f(x), g(x) and h(x). In order to make it easier for you to type, a math soft keyboard is provided. When you are done, you can choose to either plot each graph individually or plot everything at the same time. Corrections can be made by clicking the "DEL" button on the keyboard or the "X" button next to the function which will clear the whole input box.

"Set parameter" menu
This menu is used to set the the parameter "a". You can drag the track bar or set the parameter using an input box. When you change the parameter, the graph will immediately change.

"Special points" menu
In this menu, you can set whether you want to display roots, extrema, intersections of two graphs and inflection points. Once you checked the corresponding check box, those points will be displayed as dots. Clicking on them gives you the exact coordinates of the selected point.

"Take screenshot" menu
Here you can save screenshots on the root of your SD card directory as a JPEG. You will then have the opportunity to open or share it. For example, you can send it in an email or post it on Facebook.

Settings
The settings are designed to let you switch on/off fullscreen mode, choose your color schema (light or dark) and give you the opportunity to provide feedback.

Panning mode
This allows you do move the coordinate system.

Tracing mode
Here, touching the screen sets the x-value and function values are displayed at the top of the screen. Panning can still be achieved by using two fingers. You can also set the x-value by using the dedicated button or display several function values in a table.

Slope mode
This mode works like Tracing mode but displays the slopes of each function.

As an Android Developer who has been involved with Android since the early days of the SDK (yes.. I tried to build an Android App with the mc3 SDK), and I released my first app soon after the Market opened. It's been gratifying to watch the growth of Android, and as a developer a bit frightening to watch the number of Android Developers grow so fast. If you look at our Stats page you will see that there are well over 20,000 Android Developers and the number is growing fast.

I'm also active in the Android Developer Groups, so I get a fairly good idea of how other developers are thinking, and one thing always sticks out: Android Developers are for the most part : DEVELOPERS ... most have no idea of how to be successful in business... and selling Android Apps is a business. At first glance, the Android Market looks like it is a Free for all of small developers, but in reality, the Android world has been taken over by bigger developers... developers with successful companies, and big companies that just happen to have developers. Sure, there are thousands of small developers but take a look at which apps are getting the downloads... it's almost always the bigger companies. Google's own apps, the "Official" ebay app, Facebook etc... get multi million downloads while the small developer seems to be doing well if he can get over 5,000 downloads.
